“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8
Have you ever been perfect? If your answer was anything other than no, you need to reevaluate. The fact is, none of use are perfect. We are nowhere near perfection.
If you’re anything like me, your life is pulled in many directions, and at times you cannot tell up from down. Life is complicated and messy, and priorities often shift.
So how can our crazy, messed up lives allow us to be blessed, much less see God?
Jesus tells those who have ears to hear to pursue the pure in all areas of our lives. In the crazy busy times, we are to look through the lens of holy and respond accordingly.
Philippians 4:8 says, Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Let us be mindful of our thoughts in every compartment of our lives, and live purely for The Lord and we will begin to see Him in the busy world around us!
