A New Year

Most people make resolutions and most people fail. I am one of those folks that start with good intentions but most of the time I fail. 

I often focus so much energy on my failures that I neglect the promises that God has given me. Those who believe in Jesus for the forgiveness of sin are new creations. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Jonathan Edwards once wrote, “Resolved, that I will do whatsoever I think to be most to God’s glory..” Check out more here.

Let us not dwell on our failures, rather lay us dwell on the newness that Jesus can bring in the lives of those who seek Him. 
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19
