Think about the relationships that you have in your life. Coworkers, acquaintances, neighbors, family, etc.
Now think about how many of them you would let ask you personal questions.
For some of us, it is hard to let people get to close. Maybe we fear what others would think about us if they really knew us.
God is different.
God wants us to ask Him deep personal questions. He even gives us a promise…
Check out Jeremiah 33:2-3:
“This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.
In this passage God promises something incredible to Jeremiah. God tells him that he would share things with Jeremiah if he just asks.
This also applies to believers today! God wants us to draw near to Him, James 4:8.
We can be confident in this promise. God gives us understanding of His word and His purposes in our lives when we seek Him.
Instead of seeking self-help prescriptions let us boldly call on God for wisdom and understanding!
Love God Love People.
