Wash your hands.

Hank washes his hands. Be like Hank.

Have you ever entered a public bathroom and observed a patron exit without washing their hands? One word, gross.

What is equally gross, is someone who hurts another person and doesn’t ask for forgiveness.

There will be many times in leadership or in life that we make mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes whether intentional or not hurt others and ourselves.

Leaders ask for forgiveness. Leaders also forgive.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13

Wash your hands.

If you are reading this and you have neglected to forgive someone make a plan to do it before you sleep.

If you have not asked for forgiveness from someone make a plan to fix it before your head hits the pillow.

Wash your hands = clear your heart.

God is faithful to forgive when we ask.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Forgiveness connects us to God through His Son Jesus.

Forgiveness connects us to each other.

When we forgive we are demonstrating God’s love.

So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” Luke 17:3-4

Hank washes his hands. Be like Hank.
