Struggle.

Sometimes Hank struggles. Be like Hank.

I’m not going to lie, being here is tough. This is probably the most desolate place I’ve ever been to. The air is full of dirt/sand and every breath is filled with dust. Ever since I was 5 I have imagined serving my country in the United States Army.

I knew what I signed up for many years ago and I gladly take my place amongst many who have gone before me.

Being deployed can be a struggle.

Life without struggle is no life at all. In fact, if we go through life without difficulty we never grow.

Without difficulty there is no growth.

God allows us difficulty so that we would rely on Him. The fact is, we cannot do life without Him.

There is a verse that I keep repeating to myself.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

My prayer is not for me but for my family and those I serve with. I pray for their safety, peace, and hope.

Please pray with me.

Live life to the fullest and realize there will be struggle.

Embrace it. Learn from it. Grow.

  1. I met your father-in-law at Versailles Baptist Church a few months ago. He keeps us updated on you and he told me about this web site. What a blessing you must be to many people. We will continue to remember you and your family in our prayers. Thank you for the honesty of your struggles and the belief that God is in control. Amaris Morrell
